i'll be your french maid,
london's not as pretty as cambridge, stratford or bath. but its' still pretty, i guess. i cant wait for saturday to come. i want to see buckingham palace, the big ben, london bridge and all that nonsense. i also want to see emirates stadium (honestly, they should just stick with highbury. emirates stadium is such an awful name. like, can you imagine anfield being called carlsberg stadium or something?) and stamford bridge, if only just to swear and curse at it.
london's science museum is pretty nice. better than the singapore science center anyway. after all, its FREE. and secondly, it has a lot of stuff. i never saw so many airplanes in my life before. haha. we went to the imax theatre too. it was all like 'whoa!' in the beginning but like most things, the novelty wears off after a while and i was fighting sleep towards the end of the movie (i won, btw). that was today (or yesterday, since its like 12.38am here).
on saturday, we went to stratford, which was the place where shakespere lived. it was a super duper pretty place and they had a teddy bear museum ok. A TEDDY BEAR MUSUEM OKAY. i saw 2 mr. bean bears. X)
on sunday, we went to bath. it was pretty too. they had this fcuk sale going on and the jeans were like 30 pounds a piece, which is really a good bargain, but i didnt buy anything because i rarely wear jeans and i'd rather spend the 30 pounds on something more worthwhile. like teddy bears. hahaha.
girton (the college i'm staying in. cambridge is made up of like a lot of colleges, in case you didn't know) college is pretty nice. i'm starting to like my small room. its cosy after all. i'm getting used to the weather here too!
the food is ok i guess. they have boring breakfast. in singapore, you eat bread and drink milo every morning. in here, they have bacon, eggs (they had scrambled eggs today too!), sausages, hasbrowns, baked beans, mushrooms, different kind of breads, fruits and cereal. of course, you dont take all la. haha. and here, they dont take in account your size while serving you food. everybody gets the same portion, which is like really really really huge. so, most of the time, i cant finish my food. hahaha.
the teachers here are nice. they dont like scold you when you come in late. they will be like smiling and saying its ok. singapore teachers should learn to be like that. and the teacher who taught rocket science was like, drop dead gorgeous. his name is tobias. also, the teacher who taught us the stars and stuff was like, drop dead cute. so big and round. his name is andy.
i really dont know what else to write. i think i've been crapping. i'm sorry. but i guess i just need my sleep. if you really really want to know about cambridge and stuff, just tell me to tell you when i get back, which is less than a week's time. pretty cool, eh? now that i've sort of settled down, i sort of cant bear to leave. ah, well. all good things must come to an end. soon, i will be back in what michelle termed as "the pyscho society." haha.
enjoy your national day holidays! help me wish singapore a happy 41st. ha.
when i meet you at the door.
