man hands on misery to man, it deepens like a costal shelf.

my mom is telling her friend what a difficult baby i was when she was "zhou yue"ing. apparently, she cannot sleep in the day because i will cry and cry and cry and cry and she would pick me up, watch me fall asleep only to have me cry and cry and cry again when she put me down. haha! i am fearing retribution now. if i ever get married and have a child, my husband will the one that is going to carry the baby when i am "zhou yue"ing. i shall be out shopping or in sleeping instead. haha!

what exactly is "zhou yue" anyway?

"the night has a thousand eyes, and the day but one; yet the light of the bright world dies with the dying sun. the mind has a thousand eyes, and the heart but one; yet the light of a whole life dies when love is done." so, i have "read the end from the beginning of the beginning of the end to the end of the end of the end" and contrary to lemony snicket's belief, i didn't arrive at the end of the end of my rope. it is a lovely book, just like its predecessors and i hope daniel handler writes something else again soon.

actually i just realised i didn't talk about live earth, despite watching a bit of the concert when it was aired last saturday and sunday. i was very relieved when linkin park finally took to the stage because before them, all the acts that were aired were random acts that i've never heard before. linkin park actually sounds quite good 'live', as opposed to rihanna, who sounded quite terrible in my opinion. she sounds as though she was running out of breath can. but, anyway, i was really happy because i finally got to hear her other songs other than umbrella. and i also got to hear foo fighters' 'best of you', YAY.

but of course, it failed in its objective. i never really cared about global warming and i don't intend to start now, great concerts or not. and besides, some of the tips they give us are like really weird. like, don't fly unless you really have to. support your local tourist attractions instead. well, yeah, maybe i would follow your advice if i am living in a huge country like russia. but, sadly, i am stuck in little singapore and whatever tourist attractions this country has to offer, trust me, I HAVE SEEN IT ALREADY. maybe even more than once. just like everyone else here. hands up if you have been to the zoo/bird park/science center/sentosa/orchard road more than once.

and, anyway, what right does these celebs have to give us tips on global warming? they are probably 429047857235y28935718257 times more guilty than us.

i want to marry an ambassador because all the ambassadors' houses are very pretty and comes with a swimming pool.
