now how long you gone,
well, we've survived that ten days (excluding weekends and sep hols) of impure hell otherwise known as "The Prelims."
coming up, that two months (including weekends and everything) of pure hell otherwise known as "The 'O' Levels."
it'll be a miracale if we can survived that.
so anyway, i know that i'm supposed to be on a long hiatus till november.
but you and i both know that i dont keep promises. so, yeah.
besides, i wanna change the template lah. the other one kind of hard to read. wonder why nobody bother telling me that. ah, i know why. 'cause nobody bothers to read. lol. okay, i'm rambling to nobody. which is good in a way. which means nobody will complain, whine and goodness knows what else.
by the way, whats up with the "Oh my God"ness? everywhere i go, there will be these bunch of giggling girls going "Oh my God" every other sentence. its irritating can? the art of using "Oh my God" is to use it SPARINGLY. or "Oh my God (xa few times)" then STOP. really, are we that desperate in our attempts to americanise?
speaking of america, lets talk about the u.s open. the one which saw roddick got knocked out in the first round. it again reminded me of why i detest mary pierce. that straighten back, taken in a deep breath, close your eyes and say "om", i mean serve, french woman. she's the only woman player i know that serves like that. and i cannot believe a person can actually look as new age-y and yoga-y as her. disgusting.
oops sorry. is that defamation?
i dont know. you hear lawsuits for defamation flying here and there. oh, he accused me of forging, so I AM SUING FOR DEFAMATION! hey, he said that i was gay, I AM SUING FOR DEFAMATION!! so, i'm kind of paranoid right now. especially after the singapore-wide publicity that three men have been charged in court for making racist remarks on the internet. apparently, by doing so, they can actually cause race riots or something like that i think. like puh-leese. if making racist remarks can actually cause race riots, singapore would be bombarded by race riots by now since racists jokes are being exchanged practically every minute.
but, anyway, i shall refrain from commenting too much on that because contrary to our pledge "to build a democractic society," our society is anything but democractic. so i might actually get charged if i accidentally made some remarks that the government find offending/racist/whatever.
i cant stand the government. i think its really sick the way they keep trumpeting the fact that the RSAF helped america in the wake of hurricane katrina. hello, its a tragedy. stop using that as a showcase of how capable/resourceful/helpful/everythingful our armed forces are. we have enough of that in social studies.
oops, will i get charged for that?
as i've said, national education is wasted on me. instead of instilling in me a pride for my country, i've turned against my country instead. how sad. but really, inside pride something that you're born with? it cant be instilled? like, i cheered for singapore in the tiger cup without any "the government introduced the sports national education in schools in 2004 to instill a sense of pride of the singapore's national team even though they are quite crappy" thingy.
oops, will i get charged for that?
so, anyway, dont you think its kind of scary? the fact that we can get charged over things we write in our blog? like, for example, if said, "oooooo! i just downloaded a gazillion songs over kazza!" will i get charged for piracy? -shudders.
since we're on the topic of music, lets talk about the project superstar final. its sad that kelly lost. i wanted her to win. why? well cause a) she's a girl and i'm a feminist at heart and b) she's pretty. much prettier than wei lian anyway.
yeah, i always root for the gorgeous one.
thats why i choose hilary duff over lindsay lohan. 'cause hilary is prettier. why fann over zoe? 'cause fann prettier.
i'm superficial in that way. -shrugs.
you know, they say that singaporean girls prefer to watch the champions league because as they put it so bluntly, "there no handsome guys in the epl, except maybe frank lampard." and what i want to say is this, "my dear, there are more handsome guys in the epl than in the champions' league. its just that you dont know where to look."
see, lets take liverpool for example. you have xabi alonso (he scored!). in blackburn, you have this busted-looking guy. in arsenal, you have robin van persie (who weighs EIGHTY KG, can you imagine it? he looks 60kg) and ljunberg. and okay, lets include lampard from chelsea. there's also anthony le tallec (he scored! twice! XD). see, a total of 6 liao. and i didnt even include every club.
and what do the champions league offer? lets strike liverpool, chelsea, man u and arsenal out first and lets base in on last season since there's a lot of ulu ulu teams this season. now, lets take barcelona. who do they have there? RONALDIHNO?! LOL. XD
okay, real madrid. hmmm, well, people think beckham is handsome, though i beg to differ. but lets include him in. raul used to be handsome but honestly, he looks like shit now lah. like a castaway on survivor like that. owen wasnt handsome during his stint at real because he looked like a little boy trying to act like man.
move on to ac milan. ah, this is the club, they say. that have kaka and that ukraine guy. geez. let me tell ya, kaka only looks good wearing spectacles, other than that, he looks like shit. and that ukraine guy is a freak can. he is 27/28 and he looks SIXTEEN. if like that considered handsome, then my brother also very handsome lah?
juventus has pavel nedved. but i think he's the guy that only people like me like. so, not counted.
see? if we dont count beckham, cl dont even offer a single handsome dude in sight. these singaporean girls, they give the rest of us a bad name.
speaking of that idiot beckham, i can stand his voice, you know? so high-pitched. if you close your eyes and listen, you'd probably mistake it as a girl's or worse, a gay's.
AND speaking of gays, there are plenty of gays on e! entertainment. lol. that said, i love my e! entertainment. to me, the rest can have all their star movies, cinemax and hbo, without e!, they are nothing.
oh, yeah. speaking about people not looking their age (that ukraine guy), there was this incident that occured in the lift C of my block.
(me rushing to lift, little girl inside very nice, pressed door opened for me)
(inside the lift)
me: thank you.
little girl: (smiles)
(pause)
little girl: are you from primary school or secondary school?
at that point in time, i nearly fainted. i just hoped that by "primary school", she meant "p6." if its anything lesser than that, i will jump straight out of my window and down onto that grey concrete below.
she was not the only kid that left a lasting impression during my long hiatus. there was also this little fengshan junior who was so sweet. HE OFFERED ME A BAI TU SWEET! and he insisted that i take it when i refused. so sweeet right? -beams proudly. so it broke my heart to tell him my psle score when he asked for it. so embarrassing. i think he was expecting 300 or something. ah well, he offered me a bai tu sweet, so he will definitely do well in his psle. maybe even be singapore's top pupil. unlike this child-like senior of his. -sigh.
what else did i want to talk about?
oh, yeah. my birthday. a big big big big big thank you to pei shan, rinna and yvonne for making my birthday oh-so-lovely. X) a big thank you to those who gave me pressies. and a big thank you also to those who wished me happy birthday.
okay. i think i shall stop here. dont have any more brain juice to squeeze (about squeezing, i just realise that happy tree friends is really disgusting. why on earth did i find it funny before?). gotta let the brain rest in order to produce more. ah crap.
cya people in november. meanwhile, study hard.
